 Elect Kendell Kroeker
to the Wyoming House Representing District #35

The reason I decided to run for office is because the federal government is out of control. The federal government has gone way beyond its constitutional authority and is starting to abuse its power. I believe that the only way to fight this is to get the states to stand up to the federal government and take back the power that was guaranteed to the people in the 9th amendment and guaranteed to the states in the 10th amendment. I want to help Wyoming lead the charge in standing up to the big, out of control federal government and taking our rights back. Here is a summary of what I would like to help Wyoming accomplish:

  1. Reduce federal government control of the citizens of Wyoming.
  2. Reduce federal government control over Wyoming state and local governments.
  3. Reduce federal government control of the land, water, & wildlife in Wyoming.
  4. Reduce state control of the citizens of Wyoming.
  5. Reduce Wyoming state government spending.
  6. Pass legislation that challenges federal laws that infringe on the rights guaranteed to us in the Constitution of the United States of America.
  7. Provide support for educational freedom for the citizens of Wyoming.
  8. Promote property rights for the citizens of Wyoming.
  9. Help Wyoming promote a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America.

"But how is this legal plunder to be identified?  Quite simply.  See if the law takes from some persons what belongs to them, and gives it to other persons to whom it does not belong.  See if the law benefits one citizen at the expense of another by doing what the citizen himself cannot do without committing a crime.  Then abolish this law without delay, for it is not only an evil itself, but also it is a fertile source for further evils because it invites reprisals.  If such a law -- which may be an isolated case -- is not abolished immediately, it will spread, multiply, and develop into a system."

Recently, Americans have been giving away their freedoms in exchange for security, ie. Allowing mandatory payroll withdrawls in order to guarantee money for retirement.  We have given away enough of our freedoms that now the federal government feels free to ignore the US Constitution and seize corporations or personal land, to mandate the purchase of health insurance, etc.  Do you feel safer?

Our country is in major debt.  The general budget debt per citizen is $42,264*.  The annual interest per citizen is $6169*.  If you include unfunded liabilities such as social security and medicare, the debt per citizen is $352,523*.  Can you afford this liability for each member of your family?  I know that I can't.

Federal, state, and local governments need to be forced back to its Constitutional limits of protecting life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.  It is only supposed to protect the pursuit of happiness, not guarantee happiness which is impossible.  The original founders actually wanted the protection of property, but compromised on pursuit of happiness because they did not want to perpetuate slavery.  The government should spend its time protecting our property, rather than taking it away from us.  I believe in personal charity, but not forced redistribution.
